BGCV’s 10-Week Job Prep program covers topics ranging from resume/cover letter preparation, mock interviews, job applications and visits to local companies to show the variety of jobs in specialized fields. Through support from Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors Foundation, we are able to hire a select few Junior Staff participants for a paid internship during the summer. All high school students are eligible to participate, especially those considering teaching or social work as a future career. By the end of the 10-week program, program participants will be significantly more knowledgeable and confident when interviewing and applying to jobs.
Workshops run weekly from 4:00-5:30pm. Weekly attendance is MANDATORY. See Topic List below (subject to change).
