Club Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Event for Members and Families
On Tuesday, November 23 at 5:30 p.m., the Boys & Girls Club of Venice hosted its annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Club. The event is an annual tradition spanning the Club’s 42 year history of youth development service in the community. Through the support of volunteers and donors, the Club will provide a full-service sit down dinner for 300 children and adults in the Club’s gymnasium. Dinner attendees include Club families, in-need community members, and clients from partner agencies.
The team of volunteers includes several members from the Club’s board of directors, including Leslie Billinger, Sibyl Buchanan, Amy Churan, Jim Collins, Julie Henley, Cathy Hession, Michael Moskowitz, Dena Stitt, Steve Smith, Pasy Wang and Linda Weber. Former board member and board president Michael Wise of JH Snyder Co., Chuck Baren of Flekman Baren, Jeremy & Nicole Reed, and actor, Ming-Na, and her family are also volunteering at the event, among others.
