Nancy & David Iben have been longstanding volunteers of the club.  Nancy started as a counselor at the club, working with members and families on a variety of areas in youth and family development.  David Iben is currently a member of the board of directors and serves as the vice president and treasurer.  In 2008, the Ibens established the Iben Family Support Center at the club, which provides year-round counseling services to members & families free of charge.

FIDM was introduced to the club by current board member, Dena Stitt, who serves at an executive director at the institute.  The FIDM interior department was instrumental in the renovation of the club's art center, dedicated in January 2009, by providing pro bono interior design work and construction plans by professors and students.

  • 2008-Margaret & David Lederer  

Margaret & David Lederer, presented with the Founder's Award, are longtime supporters of the club.  David served as the club's first Board President and led the effort to purchase the Club's current site on Lincoln Blvd.  David was a longtime employee of the RAND Corporation.  He, his wife Margaret and their children, hosted several activities each year for club members, including swimming parties at their home and holiday parties for children, and he would dress up as Santa.

David remained a board member until his retirement from RAND in the mid-1980's.  He and Margaret continue to be generous financial supporters of the club through the years. 

  • 2007-Madison Offenhauser & Joey Baker

Madison Offenhauser is the broker specializing in commercial real estate investments in the Beverly Hills area.  His corporate mission is to help individual real estate agents and business owners move their business to a higher level while benefitting the communities they serve.  In the past, he has worked with many charities including the Music Center of Los Angeles, LA Alive, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.  He is also an advocate of Keller Williams Realty Cares (KW Cares).

Joey Baker, presented with the Founder's Award, is a long-time supporter of the club.  Joey's civic, social and community involvement through the years has been countless.  He has served as the President of the Venice Chamber of Commerce, the Venice Marina Rotary Club, the Venice Realty Board, and The Multiple Listings Service Board, among other community and civic organizations.  Joey and serval local executives helped establish The Boys Club in Venice with founding director David Mandell in 1968, and Joey was on the Inaugural Board of Directors. 

  • 2006-Michael E. Wise & Milton I. Swimmer

The Club honored J.H. Synder Co. partner Michael E. Wise and Milton I. Swimmer of Swimmer Development, LLC at its 2006 Westside Champion of Youth Dinner & Silent Auction.  Michael and Milton are both past presidents of the Boys & Girls Club of Venice's board. They were both instrumental in the development of the organization's current facility that opened in 1999.
