Youth of the year is the premier youth recognition program for Club members ages 14-18. The competition promotes and celebrates the Club members’ service to the Club, community and family, academic performance, spiritual values, life goals, and poise and public speaking ability. The winner of the Boys & Girls Club of Venice Youth of the Year participates in the state competition, and can go on further to regional and national competitions, where more scholarship money is available.

KEY STONE CLUB
Keystone is the Boys & Girls Club’s frontier teen leadership program. The program is structured to assist young people in becoming self-sufficient in their every day lives, as they become independent adults. The characteristics of Keystoners are to build character through the six commandments of Keystone. Keystoners are in charge of their decision-making within the dynamics of the Keystone Club, including being self-advisors, conference coordinators, fund raising coordinators, organizing community service projects, education through career searches, and completion of nation wide service projects.
TORCH CLUB
Members of the Torch Club undergo specialized individual attention in a group setting. The Torch Club focus on teens, ages 11-13. This group of young people is on the four front of exploration in education. The level of education strictly pertains to social recreation, services to the club and the people of the community, and health and fitness. Every year the Torch club members participate in a service-learning project through the nation’s Torch Club project.
