The Inside Out Project will be unveiling its first public art installation in Los Angeles with "The Faces of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice!"
Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice is celebrating 50 years of youth service in the community. Since our beginning as a VISTA Project in 1968 our goal has been to improve the lives of the children in our community and give them a place to become anything they can dream of. We are celebrating throughout the entire year and would love for you to join in our celebration! Thank you for 50 years of support and making a difference. Here's to another 50 years of impacting every child that walks through our blue doors.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice is proud to announce our 2018 Youth of the Year, Ty Chavez, is a finalist in the LA County Youth of the Year Competition. Twenty two Clubs and Youth of the Year Candidates competed to go on to the next round of judging and Ty is one of the six to advance. From the six finalists, two will be selected to represent Boys & Girls Clubs across Los Angeles in the California competition in April. Ty's next round of judging is Thursday, March 8th and the winner will be announced Thursday, March 15th at Club Novo at L.A. Live. Come and support Ty as she represents our Club at Club Novo, event and reception begin at 5:30pm. Congratulations Ty, we are so proud of you!
Boys & Girls Clubs of Venice's 8th Annual "No Limits Texas Hold'Em" Tournament was a tremendous success! The incredible afternoon raised over $110,000 to help continue to bring life-changing programs and services to the community. Each year we strive to make a greater impact on the children and teens we serve and you are the reason we are able to do that. Thank you to everyone who came and helped make a difference in the lives of so many young people in Venice!
Basketball legend, Robert Horry, and famous motivational speaker, Jesse Lebeau, recently came by to discuss how they overcame adversity and obstacles faced during childhood. They shared useful tools that have helped them surmount challenges and channel negative energy into positive thought and action to help attain their goals and live happy and fulfilling lives.
